Can‍‌ we do bleach after facial?

Both face bleach and facial treatments are stiff along the skin. Bleach directly after a facial can surely irritate and overload your skin barrier.

Why is bleach after a facial not ideal?

A facial usually includes cleansing, steaming, exfoliation, and sometimes application of mild peels or extractions. This results in skin becoming sensitive for a certain period of time.

So if you bleach the skin:

- It may emit a burning sensation that is more than usual

- Redness, itching, and rashes may occur

- The skin barrier may become dry and damaged

Therefore most of the time, experts refuse to use bleach right after a facial session.

What is the safer order?

If you are going to do both:

- Firstly do bleach on clean skin that is not irritated

- Stay off the bleach for at least 24 hours (or more if you are still feeling sensitive)

- Then get a gentle, hydrating facial

This sequence allows the skin to recover from bleach before exposing it to other steps.

If you have already had a facial

- Avoid bleach for at least a few days

- Help your skin with the right products: gentle cleanser, moisturizer, and sunscreen

- Do not use harsh actives, scrubs, or home remedies

Conclusion

To sum up, it is better not to do bleach after facial. Arrange your routine in such a way that bleach is done at a different time and far away from any intensive ‍‌treatment.
