LHR
Experience freedom from excessive hair growth with our Laser Hair Removal service. This treatment is virtually painless and keeps hair growth away for a long period of time.
BOOKLaser Hair Reduction works on the principle of destroying hair follicles with pulses of laser light to reduce hair growth in unwanted areas. This service also reduces in-growths. With the advanced Soprano Ice™ cooling technology and US FDA approved Diode Laser Technology, this treatment is effective for painless hair reduction. We recommend six to eight sessions in order to see optimal results. Laser Hair Removal is a hair reduction service, not a hair removal service. While the majority of people see up to 90% permanent hair growth reduction, fluctuating hormones can make hair grow back for some clients. A maintenance session every once in a while is recommended as per consultation.
The client meets with our Doctor in order to assess hair growth, areas of treatment and number of sessions required.
Client can be offered a complimentary underarm Laser Hair Reduction trial session to assess effectiveness and the client’s comfort during the service.
A cleanser/moisturiser is applied to the area which is to be shaved in order to prevent the experience of a burning sensation.
Once the hair is shaved and excess hair is dusted, the aesthetician marks out grids on the treatment area indicating sections that will receive the Laser Hair Removal treatment.
A cold gel is applied over the treatment area which enables the aesthetician to sweep the LHR handpiece across the area with ease and also prevents the laser from burning the skin.
After the area has seen treated, the gel is removed and the area is wiped clean. Once the complete session is done, a moisturiser & sunblock is applied.
No plucking, waxing and electrolysis for six weeks before the Laser Hair Reduction treatment.
During the Laser Hair Removal treatment, wear protective eyewear provided by the aesthetician.
Area may look and feel like it is sunburned for a day or two after the Laser Hair Removal treatment. If you happen to experience this, use cool compressions and moisturisers on the affected area. Over the next month, the hair in the treated areas will fall out. Avoid sunbathing and exposure to the sun. Wearing sunscreen or sunblock is mandatory to prevent temporary changes in the colour of the treated skin as the skin will be sensitive. Do not go to the gym, use saunas or steam or have hot showers for 24 hours after the Laser Hair Removal treatment.
Potential side effects of Laser Hair Removal include blistering (more likely with darker complexions), swelling, redness or scarring, most of which are rare. For some people, the treatment can stimulate hair into growing longer and thicker.
