ABOUT BODY CONTOURING

Body Contouring or CoolSculpting is generally viewed as a procedure that is safer, non-invasive type of fat reduction compared to liposuction. Most people do not feel anything during the procedure, aside from a tugging sensation and a bit of tingling. Most clients can expect up to 20-25% reduction of fat in the treated area. It is important to note that this is NOT a weight-loss procedure. Results can be seen as early as one to three months after the treatment. This procedure is ideal for clients who are healthy and are close to their ideal weight.

WHAT CAN YOU EXPECT?

  1. Consult with your primary care physician to evaluate whether Coolsculpting is right for you. After this consultation with our experts, you are led to the Coolsculpting room.

  2. The doctor applies a gel pad and the applicator on the targeted area. The applicator delivers controlled cooling to the targeted fat.

  3. The device is then moved over the skin while administering suction and cooling to the targeted area. After the applicator is removed, the area is massaged immediately to break-up any frozen deep tissue. This also helps the body to absorb the destroyed fat cells.

Frequently Asked Questions About Coolsculpting

  • 1. What is Coolsculpting?

Coolsculpting is a non-surgical, pain-free, body contouring treatment that we do here at Bodycraft clinic, in which our doctor will use a device to freeze stubborn fat cells under the skin, and help get rid of them permanently. Post this, the fat cells will leave your body via excretion. You’ll essentially reduce up to 20% of the fat cells in your body after each Coolsculpting treatment. Typically you can get Coolsculpting done for under the chin, thighs, abdomen, love handles, back fat, or underneath your buttocks (which is also known as banana roll) and the upper arm.

  • 2. Cost of Coolsculpting ?

One session of Coolsculpting  starts at 16999. Prices vary according to the procedure type, you’ll know the exact price once you complete your first doctor consultation.

  • 3. Is Coosculpting permanent?

Yes, absolutely – the fat cells destroyed on a certain part of the body do not come back. They are eliminated permanently.

  • 4. Is Coolsculpting painful?

You may experience mild discomfort during Coolsculpting, but it isn’t painful. Our customers usually watch a TV show during the session, which definitely helps!

  • 5. How many kgs will I lose?

This is a popular misconception but Coolsculpting is not a weight loss program and it does not treat obesity and replace a healthy lifestyle. We would definitely recommend that you continue or start a healthy diet and an exercise plan is crucial to maintain results.

  • 6. How many inches will I lose?

Each treatment is tailored to attain the best results for you. The doctor can assess your body and determine the exact number of sessions you need. Weight is monitored during your treatment cycle to ensure that patient weight gain is not impairing results. The number of inches you lose will be decided post your first consultation with the doctor.

  • 7. Are the results instant?

Coolsculpting  results can be seen within one to three months after the treatment.

  • 8. Can Coolsculpting reduce fat anywhere in my body?

The idea behind Coolsculpting  is to treat visible, stubborn fat bulges — that could be under the chin, thighs, abdomen, love handles, back fat, or underneath your buttocks (which is also known as banana roll) and the upper arm. Depending on the area you’re looking to target our doctors will customise a treatment plan that’s tailored to your goals & body.

  • 9. What are the side effects?

After the treatment, you may see temporary side effects which include redness, swelling, bruising, tenderness, aching, cramping, skin sensitivity, numbness.

  • 10. How much time does the treatment take?

It takes 45 mins to finish a cycle.

  • 11. Any Downtime?

A minimal amount of swelling can occur post-treatment but you can return to work and regular activities immediately after the treatment. There is no downtime for Coolsculpting .

  • 12. How many sessions do I need?

That completely depends on the number of sessions the doctor advises. It can range between 2 sessions to 20 sessions as well. We try to deliver the best results possible.

  • 13. When should I come for my second cycle?

The doctor assesses your body and gives you a schedule you need to follow for your entire procedure.

  • 14. How does it work?

Our doctor assesses your body first and discusses the areas of fat you would want to lose and our doctor then suggests a well-drafted plan to achieve your attained look. The treatment is performed by placing an applicator on the treatment areas, which are attached via vacuum suction and gradually freezes the targeted fat.

  • 15. Will the fat come back?

So to give you some context, the total number of fat cells in your body is constant once you reach adulthood. These cells will get bigger or smaller as you gain or lose weight, but the number of cells remains the same. Coolsculpting destroys fat cells, which you could say is the root of the problem, in the treated area and they are eliminated for good. So, it actually reduces the total number of fat cells you have in your body and makes it so your body cannot store as much fat in the treated area as you could have before, leaving that area “sculpted” even if you gain weight in the future.

  • 16. Is one session enough for me?

It will depend entirely on what the doctor recommends for you after your consultation. You may or may not need more than one!

  • 17. Should I avoid Coolsculpting?

We do not recommend Coolsculpting if you have severe sensitivity to cold temperatures and suffer from Raynaud’s phenomenon. You have cryoglobulinemia, cold agglutinin disease, paroxysmal cold hemoglobinuria.

  • 18. Is Coolsculpting for me?

Coolsculpting is designed for those who want to lose stubborn fat in targeted areas. It is different from weight-loss surgery, or gastric bypass, but it is important to know that it is not a weight-loss solution. This procedure is not designed to work on people who are considered obese. If you are the right candidate for Coolsculpting, you will essentially have bulges in areas you don’t want them. In a nutshell, the Coolsculpting ing procedure is the perfect non-surgical alternative to liposuction.

THINGS TO REMEMBER

BEFORE

The treatment can take anywhere between one to three hours. Although bruising from the suction of the applicator is a common side-effect, it is a good idea to avoid taking an anti-inflammatory medication (like aspirin). This will help reduce any further bruising that may occur.

DURING

Side effects during the procedure include sensations of intense cold, tingling, stinging, pulling, aching, cramping which will subside once the treatment area is numb.

AFTER

Normal day to day activities can be resumed almost immediately after the procedure for most people. Results can be typically reached after two to three months. The fat-flushing process, where dead fat cells are naturally broken down and flushed out of your body, will continue for up to six months after the initial procedure. The area where the fat cells are removed will not see new fat cells.

SIDE EFFECTS

After the treatment, temporary side effects include redness, swelling, bruising, tenderness, aching, cramping, skin sensitivity, numbness. A very rare but serious side effect is paradoxical adipose hyperplasia (more likely in men) which results in the fat cells in the treatment site to grow larger rather than smaller. While this is a cosmetic side effect, it does not disappear on its own.

NOT RECOMMENDED IF

You have severe sensitivity to cold temperatures and suffer from Raynaud’s phenomenon. You have cryoglobulinemia, cold agglutinin disease, paroxysmal cold hemoglobinuria.

PLEASE NOTE

It is important to note that the coolsculpting procedure does not treat obesity and replace a healthy lifestyle. Continuing or starting a healthy diet and an exercise plan is crucial to maintain results.
