How‍‌‍‍‌‍‌‍‍‌ to Do Wedding Makeup

It is quite overwhelming to think of doing your own wedding makeup but a clearly defined step-by-step routine makes it very easy and less stressful. The end result should be that the makeup is impeccable, of course, it must be kept for a long time, and it should look equally good in real life and in pictures.

1. Start with Skin Prep

On skin that is free of makeup, gently cleanse, exfoliate (only if your skin is capable of handling it), and hydrate with a light moisturiser that is appropriate for your skin type. This not only helps foundation to spread evenly but also is a step towards the prevention of patchy areas of the skin.

Mattifying primer may be used if the skin is oily, and moisturizing if it is dry, to control the shine and make the makeup wear through the whole ceremony and the party later on.

2. Build a Flawless Base

Let it be a long-wear, and photo-friendly foundation that is compatible with your undertone. Using a damp sponge or a brush, blend dots of the face, and go beyond the neck a little for a perfectly natural transition.

Put on a high-coverage concealer under the eyes, around the nose, and on any spots that may be visible. Set the T-zone very lightly with a translucent powder so that the skin does not get shiny, however, remains looking natural.

3. Add Definition and Glow

Light contouring of the area under the cheekbones, the jawline, and even the sides of the nose gives the face a delicate structure without the contour looking too strong.

Place on the blush of the peaches/roses variety on the cheeks, and blend it upwards. Make the application complete by using a champagne or a gold-toned highlighter on cheekbones, brow bone, and the bridge of the nose for the bridal glow effect.

4. Create Wedding-Ready Eyes

If you want a eye primer can be replaced by a little bit of concealer just to hold the makeup. Then use brown, taupe, or soft shimmer shades in the neutral range, applying the lightest tone to the inner corner and the lid, and the darkest to the outer corner and the crease.

Use waterproof eyeliner to make the upper lash line a living kajal can also be used if definition is what you want and then waterproof mascara to finish the look. To the most natural-looking false lashes, apply glue for additional drama and then the glue will be unseen when the lashes are blended with mascara.

5. Perfect the Brows and Lips

Use a brow pencil or powder to fill in your eyebrows, a product that is similar to your own hair colour, and work on making the strokes resemble hairs rather than painting heavy blocks so that you get a look that is both lifted and framed.

Give the lips an application of balm, then draw the lips with a long-wear lip liner before putting the lipstick layer on top. Depending on your style and the color of your outfit, you can use nude, pink or classic red lipsticks. If you want that the lipstick lasts longer and to be less transferred then I suggest you go for matte or semi matte formulas.

6. Set and Touch Up

Finish off with a setting spray that not only locks away the makeup but also melts the different layers that have been applied into one for a skin-like finish.

Put blotting papers, a compact powder, and your lipstick in a small touch-up kit together with your maid of honor so that you may quickly freshen up in between rituals and photos.

With these steps, wedding makeup becomes a manageable routine that enhances your features while lasting beautifully all ‍‌‍‍‌‍‌‍‍‌day.
